Cedar Grove will be participating in the Global Day of Prayer on May 27 and we invite you to add your voice in interceding for our city! Watch for more details, but here are some up and coming dates to keep in mind as you prepare to be a part of the prayer revolution!

Sunday, May 27th, 6 p.m.
All church worship and prayer
Join us as we gather together to worship and praise God for His goodness to Cedar Grove and spend time petitioning Him for the things that affect us as a congregation.
- Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
- Tuesday mornings from 6:30 - 8:00 a.m.
We also meet the last Sunday evening of the month from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. The next meeting is this Sunday May 27. See you there!
*Kids @ The Grove Family Times
Join us on Wednesday May 30th from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the gym for our next Family Times event.
This program is a special time for Kids at the Grove families to:
- Connect
- Equip each other
- Worship together
- Play together
- Pray together
- HAVE FUN!
Activities are designed for children 4 – 8 and 8 – 12 years old and their parents.
* Matt Fitch Scholarship
There is a scholarship available to a student pursuing a higher Christian education. Applicants must:
· Not have been a previous recipient
· Be able to demonstrate financial need
· Be a ministry “minded” person
To apply, write a letter addressed to “Matt Fitch Committee” and submit to Pastor Angela or Joan Gustard by May 31st, 2012.

One of the themes of our ongoing study of the book of Romans is grace. Let’s spend some time in prayer asking God to cause a grace awakening in our lives. As we remember Calvary, the source of all grace, ask God to grant you a revelation of the depth and breadth of His grace. Tell Him to fill you with the peace and joy that comes from knowing that He has given you His righteousness, apart from works, regardless of your successes or failures. Pray especially that God would reveal to you the areas of your life where you have not fully accepted His grace, where you are still striving and working in the strength of the flesh, instead of resting in the finished work of Calvary. Ask Him to lead you to surrender those areas to Him and fill your heart with a deep assurance of His justification, approval and peace.
Hebrews 4:16
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Our vision for eNews is to produce “A newsletter filled with stories of Cedar Grove church programs and activities, by Cedar Grove members, for the Cedar Grove church community.” eNews is for you – your channel for connecting and communicating with the Cedar Grove community.
Here are some ways you can be involved:
Write for eNews and you don’t need to be a writing pro to do this! Do you have a story to share? Perhaps a testimony of how God has moved miraculously in your life? A poem? Maybe you’re part of a ministry and would like to write about events and programs to spotlight what God is doing at Cedar Grove. Or you’ve been meditating on God’s word and you’d like to write about what God has been speaking to your heart. As a first step, drop us an email with a brief description of what you’d like to write about. Submissions may be edited and not all content can be published so check with us first.
Send us your story or article ideas. We may use it in a future issue.
