Generational Ministries is a comprehensive grouping of programs focused on the second half of adult life. The three programs offered are geared to suggested age levels, recognizing that individual health and energy may be large factors in determining where an individual wants to be involved. Specific ministries have been designed to meet needs either within an age group or that cross over all three.

Our purpose is to minister to and with second half of life adults by encouraging purposeful relationships through intentional mentoring, encouragement, and time shared together for fun, friendship, service and worship.

The weekly Generational Ministries Drop-In Program is for all active adults among the congregation and within the community. Our purpose is fellowship, caring and education for both the participants and those we seek to reach, while being attentive to opportunities to share our faith in Jesus in an informal manner. Our participants include homemakers, shift-workers, and those on sick leave or with physical disabilities, as well as active retirees. Any adult who is available on Thursdays from September to June is welcome to attend. Cost is $6 each, or $25 for a 5-visit ticket, which covers all activities, lunch, and a morning snack. You are invited to drop-in when you are able to... “Come when you can, leave when you must.”

The Drop-In Program begins at 9:00am with the first activity session ending at 10:15am when we have a break for coffee, tea and snacks. The second activity session starts at 10:45am and finishes at 11:45am when we prepare for a delicious hot lunch followed by a guest speaker or special feature. We have a number of activities and options available in each session including Bible studies, ESL class, GriefShare, carpet bowling, games & puzzles, and instruction in new skills. The Drop-In Program ends by 1:30pm at the latest. We invite all adults in the second half of life to come and check out the Generational Ministries we have for them.
