"He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor." 1 Samuel 2:8

Some Days … Things are Tough

Monday mornings can be even tougher.  No job, no money, no home, little food, fear, broken relationships, addictions, depression and then … it’s Monday.  It’s a day when too many in our community find themselves struggling just to find strength and hope to make it through another week.  In a world where they are often undervalued and overlooked, it can get tough.

It Gets Better
Every Monday we welcome this community into Cedar Grove with respect, love, and a reassuring embrace.  We do our best to care for their immediate physical needs, providing food, clothing, and financial support for personal items such as eye glasses and dental care.  We provide emotional support for those in broken relationships and encouragement to beat self-destructive behaviours.  On top of all this ... our faithful volunteers offer spiritual guidance to those who come for assistance, helping them discover their value, purpose, and the life they were created to live.

If You Know

If you know anyone who needs this care and encouragement in their life, tell them where we are and that we’ll see them Monday Morning at 8:30 am.

Have a Heart for Our Community?
We have some pretty fantastic volunteers who are here every Monday to encourage our community in many different ways.  If you would like to volunteer in this way then we currently need help in these areas:

  • Table Hosts – any Christ follower who is willing to listen and share their life story, engage people through crafts, singing, praying or serving food and coffee in a way that reflects their love and obedience to Christ.  A second language is an asset!
  • Personal Interviewers – Mature Christians, who listen with a compassionate heart, discern, and share wisdom from a Biblical perspective.  Personal interviewers work as a team and are of the same gender as the interviewee.

If you would like to know more about how you can help out, or would like to donate food, clothing, hygiene, or other practical items that are needed in our community’s day to day life please call:
