Kevin and Cynthia Cavanaugh	Welcome to The Grove! I have the unique and wonderful privilege of being called the Lead Pastor of this warm and loving family of God. Its been just a little over 8 years ago that the Lord called my Family and I here to Canada to Pastor Cedar Grove and serve this wonderful city. It continues to be one of the great adventures of my life. My wife Cynthia and I have been married 2 7 years; we have 3 incredible sons Jeremy (2 6 ), Jordan ( 20 ) and Jason (1 8 ). We also have one very special Daughter in-love. Her name is Emily. She's the newest addition to the family as she and Jeremy were w ed in May 2002. My wife Cynthia is a popular Retreat speaker and writer, together we enjoy playing, golf, Canasta, domino's, and quite romantic evenings when we can get them. Jeremy & Emily make their home in Seattle where he works in Sales and she teaches at a Christian High School. Jordan is serving on the staff here at CG as an intern in the areas of Children and Youth . As I write our youngest is just days away from leaving for a year in Australia where he will be studying worship leading at Hillsongs College. Did I mention Maggie? She's our miniature wiener dog, and boy does she have an attitude. Back to Cedar Grove. We're a Church with a rich history. For over 45 years this family of God has sought to fulfill the desire of our Father's heart by seeking to reach and love the people of this city. The way we go about doing that is best outlined in our Vision - we are committed to helping people grow in their love for God, their love for each other and their love for those who have yet to come to know Him. Finally Cedar Grove is a covenanting partner in an inter-denominational effort to bring the transforming presence of Jesus into this city. We are convinced that there is only one church here, though it has many diverse expressions, of which we a blessed to be one. I serve as one of the servant leaders in the city and am on the executive commitee of HOPE-VANCOUVER a regional extention of city reaching. Ken Dyck Associate Pastor	Hello my name is Ken Dyck, and I am the Associate Pastor of Adult Ministries here at the Grove. My wife, Bonnie, and I joined the pastoral team in summer of 1999. Prior to Cedar Grove, I served as a pastor and church planter in the lower mainland since 1991. We have three children: Dallas (20) who is in university though the winter and white-water raft guide in summer. Carly (18) is graduating this spring and planning to attend Bible college in fall. Calin is 15 and enjoys snowboarding, mechanics and dirt biking. My wife, Bonnie, works full time as a personal care aid for mentally and physically disabled adults. She is also an excellent sounding board, support and encouragement in the many areas of ministry I am involved in. I accepted Jesus Christ as Leader of my life in 1982. Since then, God has given me a great passion to lead and disciple others to live out their lives as servants and witnesses of what God has done in their lives. I believe freedom and healing is possible through faith and obedience to Christ, and I believe it is God's desire for all who call on Him as Lord. At Cedar Grove I have the privilege to build teams and empower others to fulfil this calling in their lives. It's a great place to meet with God and a few good friends who are likewise seeking to know Him better. Most of the In 2003, God enabled me to write "Freedom Session" a Christ centred 12-Step program currently being used in a number of like minded churches. A large part of my current ministry is focussed on training/overseeing the excellent staff God has given us. I also preach occasionally on Sunday mornings and teach a number of electives. Ken B. Mika Kostamo Youth Pastor	Hello my name is Mika Kostamo, I am the Youth Pastor here at Cedar Grove. My wife Tamara and I are excited to be a part of what God is doing here in our church. We count it a privilege to serve such a great bunch of students. Tamara and I have been married for five years now and loving it, and we have been serving the youth at Cedar Grove for almost 4 years. These past four years at Cedar Grove have been very exciting and challenging at the same time. It’s been an incredible growth process for both Tamara and I and the students at “The Grove”. God is continually stirring a greater hunger and passion for God in the students, which is being evidenced in intimate/passionate times of worship and prayer, authentic and loving community amongst the students, and a growing desire to reach out to make an impacting difference in the community around us. We love our city of Surrey and we long to see God powerfully transform it. We are very excited about what God is doing and what He is going to continue to do in and through us as the student ministries of Cedar Grove, and as one part of the greater body of Christ.
