My journey is an amazing story of how God can take a messy life, and completely transform a heart towards His purposes. God has most recently amazed me with a confirmation as Executive Pastor here at Cedar Grove.  I had the honour of being an Overseer for three years at Cedar Grove before moving into a staff pastoral position.

My wife Kristiina and I have been married since 1997, and have three children.  We both came to Christ through an Alpha course, which was life changing for us. Before that, we were both stuck in ways of living that were very destructive to us and our family.  We have faced many challenges which nearly tore our marriage apart before we found healing through knowing Jesus. My wife and I have been blessed to run the marriage ministry at Cedar Grove for about five years now and love mentoring couples and teaching together.

As the point person for Men’s Ministry, I enjoy being in deeper relationships with men, because this has been an avenue that God has greatly used to influence my life!

When I am not at work at Cedar Grove you might find me at home with my big family including many international homestay students and my 90 year old father in law, who also live with us.  As free time allows, I enjoy hunting, cycling, gardening, and riding on my Harley -- with Kristiina on the back!

We found a community of people here at Cedar Grove that really work at being authentic with one another—messy lives and all -- and we love that.  We hope you will join us and jump into deeper relationship with God and others . I encourage you to take steps to get into church community!

Welcome to the Grove, my wife Tess and I have been attending Cedar Grove since 2002.  We have three amazingly gifted children, Phoebe Ruth married to Ryan Virtue, Misha-el married to Stephanie and Chloe Chanice. We also have five gorgeous grandbabies Tehillah Joy, Koah Jordyn, Elessar Jude, Milla Ehlani, Elliana Ruth and Ollie Rae. We have been married for 39 years and we are still learning new things about each other.

The Lord has provided an amazing opportunity for me and my family to grow and to serve in so many ways in the area of Media and Worship.  Our ministry involves all forms of media, from our messages online, website developments, graphic arts, and the icing on the cake getting to play music with a bunch of great and upcoming musicians.

Our department has grown in a number of musicians that are capable of playing multiple instruments.  But most of all, with them having the heart of worship makes the priority of this ministry evident.  If you are interested in being a part of an exciting and growing ministry, please don't hesitate to let me know

Hey Everyone!  I have the great privilege of looking after the youth ministry staff here at Cedar Grove. I oversee Jolt, Arise, and Young Adults providing oversite and leadership to the staff who run these programs.  It is a joy to work with Pastor Michael Nono (ARISE) and Pastor Avie (JOLT).  I arrived at Cedar Grove about 10 years ago coming over the bridge from another delightful Baptist Conference church in Coquitlam. Once I settled I soon began leading the middle school program and am now Pastor of Youth and Young Adult Ministries.  I love working with the youth and young adults here at Cedar Grove.

I have been working with youth and young adults since I was 16 years old and am passionate about camp ministry (Daybreak Point Bible Camp), teaching kids (Betty Huff Elementary School), and training the next generation of leaders (STP Program and Dusty Feet). I began as a child care worker (group homes and treatment centers) before becoming a teacher which I have done now for 26 years.

If I can be of any assistance, please email or give me a call in the office. My life revolves around experiencing Jesus, building relationships, and having a blast!

Hey everyone, my name is Miguel. I serve as the Children's Ministry Director, alongside Christine, and as the Youth Ministry Pastoral Intern, working with Steve and Avie. My wife Leah and I met and got married here at Cedar Grove. We have a son named Josiah.

We have the privilege of serving the young generation, helping them to understand the beauty of the Gospel, and encouraging them to have their own personal relationship with Jesus. We have been brought up in children's and youth ministries and believe that these years were very impactful in building a solid foundation of knowing who we are and what we believe in.

Greetings Cedar Grove Family! My wife, Margarita & I met in the beautiful country of Colombia where I served as a missionary. We are what some would call a ‘blended’ family and we love it as it points to our Saviour’s love and creativity. Our eldest son Mateo is 18, Victoria is 4 and our youngest (Elena) will be joining the party later this year!

I have a passion to see the Gospel unite people across cultures and generations and desire to see disciples multiplied, living out their faith as worship to our almighty God! As I’ve witnessed the miracle of God’s grace in my own life and family, I pray God can utilize the experiences He’s blessed me with both locally and internationally to help build the family of God here at Cedar Grove.

We’re a family that loves physical activity, so in our spare time find us at the gym, on a court or yes…detailing a car =) I look forward to growing in relationship here at the Grove and look forward to seeing how the Lord moves us together as a body!
