Sunday, October 31
10:00 am Family Worship
11:30 am - 1:30 pm  Fall Festival

Fall Festival is back and it all starts with family worship!  Our next Family of God Sunday, is on October 31st and all we are going to enjoy this all together as a large authentic family - infants to seniors all in the Worship Centre!

Please invite your friends, neighbours or coworkers (no matter their age!) because after the worship service we will fellowship together at Fall Festival.  This is a safe and fun place for children and families to get dressed-up, enjoy festival
games, bouncy castle, face painting, candy and great food!  Fellowship with a purpose!!

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16

If you have any candy to share please drop it off at the Welcome Centre from Sunday to Thursday, 9 am - Noon.  Thank you!

November 15 - 21

November is only days away Cedar Grove will be serving as a Collection Depot for National Collection Week! This is a week where we open our doors to receive shoeboxes from individuals in the community and show them Christ’s love as they bring in their love-filled shoebox gifts.

We are looking for individuals, couples and families who are willing to serve in our Collection Center this fall. Whether you like greeting people, organizing things, administration tasks, baking, using your muscles to move boxes — whatever your gifts and passions there is a place for you!

We have shifts available in the day, evening and weekend and are looking for a team of people to serve during each shift. If you are interested in serving or finding out more information please contact Laura Kirkpatrick at 604-379-7167 or email church@the-grove.net

Brothers and sisters,  We would like to come together over the next seven weeks and grieve together.  Grieve all of our loved ones lost during the Covid pandemic.  Those lives who we have been unable to grieve over in the last year and a half.

If you have lost a family member, a friend, a brother and sister in Christ, a neighbour - anyone dear to you - please share your loss with us so we can grieve with you.

Send us a short write-up about them, your relationship with them and even a picture if possible.  Send this to church@the-grove.net and we will post it on our website to celebrate their lives, honour them and so that we can all grieve with you.

On Sunday, November 14th we will get together in person and grieve and celebrate their lives as we have yet been unable to do.  If you questions please email us at church@the-grove.net

LOOK AT THE BOOK  |  Men’s Bible Study
Thursdays | 7 – 8:30 pm
Starting September 30

John Piper draws on a lifetime of theological reflection, biblical study, and practical ministry to lead readers on a stunning tour of the sightings of God's Word.  Look at the Book is an ongoing series of 8–12 minute videos in which the camera is on the text, not the teacher. You will hear John Piper’s voice and watch his pen underline, circle, make connections, and scribble notes—all to help you learn to read God’s word for yourself. His goal is to help you not only see what he sees, but where he sees it and how he found it.

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
