Are you interested in walking in the footsteps of Jesus?  Not a religious walk, but a Jesus walk?  Many graduates of high school and young adults are seeking a way to make their faith real; they are deciding on relationships, careers, finances and much more.  Understanding how Jesus views these things before making decisions may steer you in a whole new direction.  Dusty Feet is a one-year discipleship program designed to ground a young adult in his or her faith and to help them discover how Jesus can be a part of every aspect of their lives.

We are called to live in this world, but to affect this world for Jesus. What does this look like? How can this be real in our lives?  Spend the next year with other young adults discovering this for your own life.  There are 3 hours of classroom time each week, along with daily and weekly readings; in which you will be led along a path that helps you discover who Jesus made you to be, and how He wants you to live out your faith for His sake.
This discipleship program is open to all young adults who apply.  For more information email If interested in applying you can pick up a registration form at the Welcome Centre OR register online here:

An exciting interactive course that looks at our world from His perspective.

MONDAYS, 7:00 - 9:30 PM
at Cedar Grove Church | 10330-144 Street, Surrey

Where are you on your life journey?  Why has God put you there? Who is there with you?  Global migration has shrunk the world.

  • Your neighbour might be from a place where no one knows Jesus Christ.
  • Your co-worker might be from a country where the church is illegal.
  • Your classmate might be trying to figure out what Easter is really all about.

Should you talk to them?  How will they react to you?  Will you be able to share God's love with them?

Kairos is a discipleship course that helps develops a passion in participants to align their lives with the heart of God, and moves them from being spectators to being involved in what He’s doing. Kairos is a nine lesson interactive study of the unchanging purpose and plan of God from Genesis to the end of the age. Focusing on the biblical, historical, strategic, and cultural dimensions of God’s mission, this course creates space where you can realign with God’s purposes.

Time commitment: Kairos is run in nine - 2½ hour sessions. There are readings with each session taking 1-2 hours each, with worksheets focusing on personal application of learnings.  In order to complete the course students must attend 7 of the 9 sessions, and not miss the final 3 sessions.

Mondays, September 17, 24 and October 1, 15, 22, 29  | 7:00 - 9:30 pm
(No class Monday October 8 due to Thanksgiving)

Friday, November 2  | 6:00 - 9:30 pm
Saturday, November 3  | 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

“I’ve come to a distinct ‘bend in the road’ in my mindset. I’ve been spending too much time concerned with things that don’t matter much, and far too little time engaged in what will last for eternity, but now I’m seeing things and people through a different lens.”
Tim Mackenzie, Alliance Seamless Link Advisor  (recently completed the Kairos course)

"Kairos is more than a biblically-based mission course. It is a life-changing journey for Christians who desire to know God and participate in His mission. Kairos course has helped many lay leaders, pastors and missionaries develop a deeper understanding of God’s heart, His plan for His people and on how to strategically share the good news to least reached people groups in the world. It employs a variety of effective teaching methods to help mature learners to grasp the latest missiological thinking from well-respected missiologists and missionaries of our times. Through the Kairos course, the lives of many graduates have been revived and they have experienced a renewed passion to serve our Almighty God. They are challenged to partner with like-minded Christians and churches to expand the kingdom of God in their communities and overseas. I highly recommend all Christians and church leaders take the Kairos course. I firmly believe that the Kairos course will help you and your church become a world Christian and a Great Commission church."

There are so many ways we can say WELCOME!  In over fifteen different languages, with warm smiles, friendly handshakes, meals, family support, marriage support, Canadian newcomer support, worship, Spirit inspired messages … and with over forty ministry programs or events we could keep this list going for some time!

What Is Going On Here

So much that you won’t find it all on this page, but we’ve tried to sum it all up here - just for you!

Cedar Grove is a multi-generational, intercultural congregation with a rich history.  Since 1960, this family of God has sought to fulfill the desire of our Father's heart by seeking to reach and love the people of Surrey.  We are committed to helping our community grow in their love for God, their love for each other, and their love for those who have yet to come to know Him!

This is How We Do It

Messages   Let’s get real … no this is not our slogan or motto … at least not officially, but it does basically describe how our Sunday messages are delivered.  God has blessed us with seven pastors who present God’s word to us in a way that is authentic and applicable to us every day!   If you haven’t already, you will soon discover the “redemptive power of God and the Bible!”  “This is not a normal book - It’s a supernatural book!” says Lead Pastor Kevin Cavanaugh.  Service times are 9:00 and 11:00 am.

Worship   We encourage our church family to worship and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ every day and in everything they do.  Worship is meant to be a part of every aspect of our lives in Christ, whether we are at work, play, school, or church.  We prayerfully prepare each week to lead worship in such a way that, by God's anointing, Sunday service will become a springboard into a week of worship for everyone who attends!  If you missed last Sunday or can't remember the name of the song you're singing check out Rico’s Playlist.
